Old woman and nude oil painting

A nude are having a bath with holding a bath bottle in the oil painting, an old Chinese woman who has entangled the puttee and banded tootsie, which were two extremely contradictory that had been selected into the camera aperture, then came out with this picture named as “Distance”. The picture expressed vividly that after the 1980s open-door policy, Chinese common people’s curiosity and strangeness to Western culture. Now, artistic works like nude model oil painting and so on have entered common people’s home, and culture and idea is getting more and more open-minded and multivariate.
in June, 1988,a culture fair named “art in people’s heart” was held in the Qingdao Catholic church square, after got this news, I planed to take some pictures. When I reached there it was already noon time, I was taking pictures and suddenly a tootsie old woman appeared in my camera aperture. But when she arrived at the Western oil painting work zone, the emotion showing in her eyes had changed at once, and she glanced the oil painting and turned down her head and left. After going for some paces, she looked around and found that nobody was looking at her, she turned back and took one look at the painting, then left in a hurry.
Looking at these Chinese tootsied women whose eyes were filling with exclamation, I realized that this was the picture what I needed. It was about 20 meters far away from her, so I moved into the 200 mm telephoto lens, and oppressed the shutter quickly to retain this moment that filled of drama.
